It won't help the European and Asian mobile market though as neither Nokia nor any other S60 licensee deploys eRCP/OSGi on their handsets (very much to my regret) - they go with eSWT only.

The North American market looks way more promising since Sprint will start to sell OSGi pre-loaded handsets this year, incl. eRCP/eSWT. I am fully inline with you that a proper store is required to help make their OSGi platform (called Sprint Titan) a success. Sprint knows that as well which is why I am optimistic that we'll see some good stuff happening soon!

We want to rewrite EPIC. I have long believed that what's missing at Eclipse is an integrated facility for discovering and installing new extensions. EPIC is an exceptionally poor substitute for that. Firefox does this well for its plugins and the iPhone app store shows that you can have big success by bringing together ease of discover / installation together with a micro-payment architecture.

Right now if I right a cool plugin that I know people would pay a few bucks for, I don't an easy way to selling it. An Eclipse bundle store would both serve as a huge growth motivator for the Eclipse community and if setup correctly can bring a good amount of revenue to the foundation to support open source activities.

I think it could be many developers (like me) stil...

I think it could be many developers (like me) still only have a Nokia S60v3.1 phone(Nokia E71, with no eSWT support).
